Tighe Blackadar, LCSW, WFR
Tighe has spent much of his life learning, working, and recreating in the outdoors. His connection to the natural world has shaped both his personal interests and professional path. In addition to his background in clinical social work, Tighe holds a degree in Outdoor Education from the University of New Hampshire. Since 2011, Tighe has led experiential and adventure-based programs for youth and teens, blending his expertise in mental health with his passion for the outdoors. A highly skilled four-season outdoor instructor and trip leader, he brings extensive experience in backcountry expedition leadership, challenge course facilitation, and high-adventure summer camps. He has guided educational and therapeutic wilderness expeditions, emphasizing personal growth, teamwork, and outdoor skills. As a Certified Wilderness First Responder (WFR), Tighe prioritizes risk management, safety, and preparedness in every adventure. He is deeply committed to Leave No Trace principles, ensuring that every trip fosters a respect for nature and responsible backcountry travel. His work is grounded in the belief that meaningful experiences outdoors can foster resilience, connection, and personal growth.
